Presented By Pulp Devil Press Slaugher Realms

Legendary Series

Although almost forgotten now, Slaughter Realms was a seminal pulp series during the heyday of post-apocalyptic fiction. Its fast-paced, action-packed stories about the Martian Time Kings’ mutagenic war against Earth for control of the Runestone Concatenation set a high standard for the genre, and inspired legions of devoted fans.

Daniel Desipio's Lost Manuscript - Found!

Regarded by some reviewers as nothing but a "hack" (this largely due to his breast obsession and fondness for the phrase "josticulating upthrusties"), Daniel Desipio was a fan favorite among the dozens of writers who worked on the 300-title series.  Unfortunately Mr. Desipio disappeared without a trace before he could deliver his promised "magnum opus" in the Slaughter Realms legend.  To this day no one knows what happened to him.  A private investigator hired by Pulp Devil Press tracked his passport activity and discovered that he left the United States in 1998 for Panama City, Panama. Our investigator was able to trace his last known whereabouts—a rundown tourist hotel in the city’s redlight district—but after that the trail fell cold.  Never delivered to the publisher, his final Slaughter Realms manuscript, a massive pile of hand-typed pages, was left to languish in a cardboard box in the hotel basement.

The entire manuscript was recovered, but time and tropical climate had not been kind to the document.  We at Pulp Devil Press are thrilled to finally present Daniel Desipio's lost work.  With the assistance of noted pulp fiction author Alan Philipson, we have begun the painstaking process of restoring the manuscript to readable form, and will be presenting each new chapter here as it becomes available.
